*NEW UPDATE HERE*: redmountainpark.org/march27update

We are pleased to share that Red Mountain Park’s 15 miles of multi-use trails will remain open to the public from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. seven days a week until further notice. The large and special needs dog parks of Remy’s Dog Park will also remain open. The small dog park remains closed due to drainage issues.

Frankfurt Drive Welcome Station coverage has been suspended during this period. Trail maps are posted throughout the park and are available for download HERE.

All aerial adventure trips have been cancelled through the end of March. We are coordinating with existing bookings to reschedule trips. For questions regarding your trip, our Adventure phone line is still live at 205-202-6043.

As you enjoy the park, remember to follow the Jefferson County Department of Health’s social distancing orders and recommendations. We encourage you to visit the park in small numbers maintaining at least a six-foot distance from other park guests.

To reduce crowding a particular entrance, guests are also welcome to enter the park at our newest entrance across from the High Ore Line Trail: 2019 Venice Rd, Birmingham, AL 35211.

The Birmingham Police officers assigned to the park will remain on patrol during park hours.

The servicing of the portable toilets throughout the park has increased to three days per week.

Maintenance will be reducing its routine coverage to protect the staff and limit their potential for exposure. As a result, we ask that you are especially mindful of your impact at Red Mountain Park. As always, please employ Leave No Trace principles to help mitigate any effects of the reduction of our regular maintenance routine.

We’re thankful for our members who keep this mountain moving even when the rest of the world grinds to a halt. To learn more about membership and how you can support this essential greenspace, visit redmountainpark.org/support.

Happy and Health Trails!
