We have so many awesome animal lovers on staff and Park guests and we know our first instinct is:

But wildlife needs special care that we can’t give them. Actually, most of the time, wildlife doesn’t need our help at all. Many baby animals like fawns and birds spend time alone while their parents gather food.

If you spot an injured animal at the Park please call our Park Rangers at (205)-266-6000.

While outside of the Park, if you suspect an animal is in need of help contact the following folks and they will provide you with specific instructions on what steps to take!

For an injured bird, call the Alabama Wildlife Center: 205-663-7930, ext. 2, line open from 8 am-8 pm, 7 days a week. Leave them a message if they don’t answer.

For an injured mammal, call Wild Mammal Care of Alabama: 205-871-7803, line open 8 am- 6 pm, 7 days a week. Leave them a message if they don’t answer.
